Egyptian Ex-President Mubarak On Life Support

Hosni Mubarak, the former dictator of Egypt who was ousted during last year’s Arab Spring, has been put on life support after being declared "clinically dead" — though his lawyers say he is not dead yet. Earlier today, he was moved to a military hospital, and along the way, his heart stopped. Although, sources confirm he is currently on life support.

He had fallen into a coma after a heart attack and stroke. Mubarak was sentenced to life behind bars on June 2 for suppressing a revolt against his rule in February 2011 during which nearly 850 protesters were killed.

**UPDATE**

Mubarak's attorney says the ex-president is currently in a coma.
